World Changers Conference - Auckland

Our flagship event for young leaders and university students is back.

World Changers Conference gives young New Zealanders like you the chance to meet Kiwis who have done incredible things. It's a three day retreat for a small group of incredible young people like you - and your chance to get connected with a whole range of ways to bring change on campus. It's our flagship event for university students and young professionals.

We want to change the world by ending poverty, but World Changers isn't just about poverty. Whether it be through development field work, law, music, political leadership or social enterprise, each of our speakers has stepped up to help reshape our world. Plus, we know from previous years that the people who come to World Changers are pretty awesome too, so you will have the chance to work with diverse home grown world changers in an interactive, intimate environment.

Spaces are strictly limited. First come, first served. Register now.

We've done everything we can to keep our registration fee as low as possible. $130 earlybird registration gets you two nights of accomodation in beautiful Piha, full catering, and your ticket to an incredible, trajectory-changing experience. You in?

If you're not persuaded yet - scroll down to meet our speakers and learn more about the experience!

Great speakers are the heart of a great conference - and we're pretty pleased with the lineup we have for you.

It's not just two days of talking heads though. Because it's a small, personal experience, you'll be able to genuinely interact with our speakers, not just listen - and we have a range of workshops and other activities lined up to - including a few surprises we can't wait to show you.

We can't promise that you'll turn into a social change master the Monday after you leave World Changers. But we know this will be a big step on the way!

You won't just gain knowledge, but a chance to sharpen up your skills. If you already see yourself as a changemaker, this is your chance to level up.

Did we mention that we've lined up an acoustic performance by Dan, from Auckland's own Echo Children?

We're excited to have him. Echo Children are an up and coming Auckland band who've just dropped their first single. Plus, the individual band members are powerful changemakers in their own right.

From the moment you arrive on Friday, until you leave on Sunday afternoon, food's all part of the package.

But it's also part of the experience. We've teamed up with some of Auckland's brightest young street food entrepreneurs, who'll share both delicious food - and insights into their changemaking journeys.

We're super excited to have our friend Shasha from Nusantara serving us dinner on the Saturday.

Nusantara is an incredible new Indonesian vegetarian food business that has been taking Auckland's street food scene by storm.

Tim and the crew from Wise Boys will be feeding us their delicious burgers on Friday night.

Wise Boys' burgers have been selling out from their food truck all over Auckland for a while now, and they've just taken up residence slinging burgers full time from #1 Queen St. Inspired by sustainability, New Zealand vibes and - believe it or not - Prince Charles, these guys make a burger worth eating.

Established in 2012, Tart Bakery is a small family owned business that prides itself on yummy, fresh food made from scratch. Philippa, a mother of five kids (who all help out at the bakery), founded Tart Bakery simply because she loved baking, and wanted to share this passion with her neighbourhood.

Tart uses use stone based deck ovens to create the best food consistently. Their bakers, Philippa, Taz and Andrew start at 3am daily to bring you beautiful bread, pastries and other delicious baked goods.

They've very kindly agreed to sponsor us for Saturday's afternoon tea - thanks heaps!

World Changers is back after a two year break. We've hosted World Changers conferences before, from 2011-2013, in Auckland and Christchurch.

Our World Changers alumni have gone onto do epic things - from starting social enterprises, to winning Fulbright and Rhodes scholarships, to raising thousands of dollars for people in extreme poverty through Live Below the Line. We can't wait to see what you'll do!

You'll be living for three days at the beautiful Piha Mill Camp. Near one of West Auckland's most epic surf beaches, you'll be nested in eight square kilometres of native bush.

This isn't any ordinary conference centre. It's going to be awesome.

Earlybird registration for World Changers Auckland costs $130. That covers everything for three days. Food, accomodation, the works. In fact, the fee basically all goes to your food and accomodation - so I guess that makes the rest of the experience free, right?

World Changers isn't just a conference. It's our family on campus. You'll become part of a network, who you can keep bouncing ideas off in the months and years to come.

And, you'lll get the first invitation to our upcoming events on campus at your university!
