Social Enterprise Competition (SEC)

This is THE competition for high school students!
Each year we invite students to work in teams to identify a key social or environmental issue that they would like to help solve. It can be on a local, national or international level, and must tie in with ONE of the 8 UN Millennium Development Goals.
Since SEC first started in 2010, it has seen some incredibly talented students come through with last year’s winners, RAINEX, successfully introducing rainwater tanks in Tongan communities, and in 2010 the winners organised an alcohol expo that showed the adverse effects of alcohol abuse on young people.
This year we have taken it to the next level with participants from both Dunedin and Auckland schools competing in what is promising to be the BEST and MOST EXCITING SEC yet!
Applications are now open!

P3 Foundation wishes to inspire young people to take a more PROACTIVE role in dealing with global poverty. We believe that SEC will provide students with the tools necessary to turn their IDEAS into PRACTICAL SOLUTIONS, enabling them to tackle real issues both within their community and on a global scale.
